Pakistan Security Forces Capture 5 More TTA Posts

Pakistan Security Forces carried out a comprehensive and calibrated Punishment Fire Plan targeting multiple forward posts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) across all sectors along the Pak–Afghan border. The operation was launched in direct and resolute response to coordinated hostile actions initiated by TTA elements on 26 February 2026.

In what officials described as a “measured but firm response,” security forces employed precision artillery and mortar fire to dismantle what were termed TTA’s so-called military capabilities and associated infrastructure supporting cross-border aggression. The action, conducted simultaneously across multiple sectors, reflects a clear intent to restore deterrence and reinforce border stability.

A significant operational milestone was achieved during the day as Pakistan Security Forces captured five additional TTA posts in separate sectors through deliberate Quick Penetration and Quick (QPQ) tasks. The seizures are assessed to have substantially weakened the militants’ forward defensive grid while enhancing Pakistan’s tactical positioning along critical stretches of the frontier.

At specific flashpoints in Tirah, Momand, and Khyber, TTA elements attempted to regroup and build up manpower in an apparent effort to reinforce their exposed positions. These movements were detected and effectively neutralized through timely and punishing fires, preventing any consolidation of hostile strength. Sporadic attempts by militants to engage through small arms fire from standoff distances were also reported; each instance was met with immediate and proportionate mortar and artillery response, silencing the hostile positions.

Initial field assessments, corroborated by wireless communication intercepts, indicate additional casualties among TTA operatives and affiliated Kharjis. While exact figures remain under verification, officials confirm that the damage inflicted on militant manpower and infrastructure is considerable.

Notably, Pakistan Security Forces reported zero casualties across the entire front during the day’s engagements, underscoring operational preparedness, disciplined execution, and effective force protection measures.

Security authorities reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain fully committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any aggression, they emphasized, will continue to be met with firm, proportionate, and decisive action.

The situation along the Pak–Afghan border remains under close surveillance, with forces maintaining heightened vigilance to deter further provocation.
