Pakistan’s security forces carried out precision unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) strikes targeting Afghan tanks along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, following hostile actions by Taliban forces during the night of 6–7 March. The operations were conducted in response to a coordinated attack on Pakistani border posts, which resulted in damage to the Kharalachi border crossing.
According to report, Taliban elements had moved heavy artillery and armored vehicles to the border during the night in an attempt to reinforce their positions and launch attacks on Pakistani border infrastructure. Pakistani forces, maintaining vigilant surveillance, identified these movements and executed targeted UAV strikes to neutralize the threat before it could escalate further. No casualties among Pakistani forces have been reported, and the operation successfully halted further incursions along this strategic border sector.
Officials emphasized that the strikes were conducted in accordance with Pakistan’s operational mandate to defend territorial integrity and respond decisively to hostile actions. The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its commitment to protecting border communities, maintaining operational superiority, and preventing escalation from armed groups along the frontier.
