Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has released fresh operational details of the ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil Haqq, outlining what he described as coordinated cross-border attacks by Afghan Taliban elements and Pakistan’s subsequent response.

According to the minister, Afghan Taliban fighters launched 16 ground assaults in northern Balochistan, targeting Qilla Saifullah, Nushki and Chaman districts. In addition, 25 fire raid operations were carried out against Pakistani forces at multiple locations across the province.

Tarar stated that all attempted attacks in Balochistan were effectively repelled. During the engagements, 27 Afghan Taliban operatives were killed and several others wounded. On the Pakistani side, one soldier of FC Balochistan North embraced martyrdom while five others sustained injuries in the line of duty.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said, one ground assault attempt was made, and 12 fire raid incidents were reported at various points. Security forces foiled these attempts without suffering any casualties. Overnight follow-up operations in the province resulted in the killing of 40 additional Afghan Taliban fighters, he added.

The information minister emphasized that follow-up operations remain underway and that a more detailed update will be issued in due course, indicating that the operational tempo under Operation Ghazab lil Haq continues across sensitive sectors.
