Pakistan Ready to Defend Against Any Aggression, Says PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ), where the military leadership briefed him in detail on the Pakistan-Afghanistan security situation.

During the briefing, the Prime Minister stressed that Pakistan would adopt a zero-tolerance policy toward any nexus between militant groups and hostile elements operating from Afghan territory.

He said activities carried out by the so-called Fitna al-Khawarij network and any cooperation with the Afghan Taliban regime for hostile operations against Pakistan are completely unacceptable.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan is fully capable of defending itself against any aggression.

He praised the professionalism of the Armed Forces, led by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, for successfully repelling militant attempts along the border and conducting effective retaliatory operations.

The Prime Minister said cross-border attacks against Pakistan by the Afghan Taliban regime or militant groups remain intolerable.

He reiterated that the nation stands united behind the armed forces in safeguarding national sovereignty.

Pakistan to Defend its Territory Against any Form of Aggression

The Prime Minister said Pakistan possesses the capability and determination to defend its territory against any form of aggression.

While appreciating the operational professionalism of the armed forces, the Prime Minister highlighted that the country maintains full defensive readiness under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.

He stated that hostile activities originating from Afghan territory, including actions attributed to the Afghan Taliban regime and militant networks, are unacceptable.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to respond decisively to threats against its security and citizens.

He added that the entire nation stands with the armed forces in protecting the homeland.
