Pakistan Navy successfully conducted a Live Weapon Firing (LWF) of the FM-90(N) Extended Range Surface-to-Air Missile in the North Arabian Sea, demonstrating a high level of combat readiness and reaffirming its capability to counter evolving aerial threats in the maritime domain.
During the firepower demonstration, a Pakistan Navy ship effectively engaged and neutralised highly manoeuvrable aerial targets, showcasing the Navy’s advanced air defence capabilities, precision engagement, and operational preparedness under realistic sea conditions.
Commander Pakistan Fleet witnessed the live firing at sea onboard a Pakistan Navy Fleet unit. He expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the exercise and lauded the officers and men involved for their professionalism, dedication, and operational competence displayed during the firing.
The Commander Pakistan Fleet reiterated Pakistan Navy’s unwavering resolve to ensure the seaward defence of Pakistan and safeguard national maritime interests under all circumstances, adding that such exercises are vital to maintaining a credible deterrence posture and operational excellence.
