The Pakistan Naval Academy recently held the prestigious passing-out parade for the 124th Midshipmen Course and the 32nd Short Service Commission Course, marking a significant milestone in the careers of the newly commissioned officers.
Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Al Bin Ali, Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He was warmly received by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy, who presided over the event.
During the parade, the cadets saluted Admiral Naveed Ashraf, while Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Al Bin Ali conducted the inspection. The Chief Guest also presented awards to cadets who demonstrated exceptional performance. Notably, Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar from Pakistan and Officer Cadet Al-Dhabi Fahad Hussam Fareed from Iraq were awarded the Chief of Naval Staff Gold Medals for outstanding achievement. Midshipman Shahab Ahmed was recognized with the Academy Dirck, and Midshipman Mohammad Azeer Abbas received the Sword of Honour for overall excellence.
Commodore Zia-ur-Rehman, Commandant of the Pakistan Naval Academy, emphasized that the institution continues to uphold its reputation as a center of excellence, providing world-class naval training to cadets from Pakistan and allied nations.
Addressing the cadets, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Al Bin Ali highlighted the strong bonds of friendship and Islamic fraternity between Pakistan and Bahrain. Reflecting on his own experience, he shared, “I am also an alumnus of the Pakistan Naval Academy. Cadets have a world of opportunities ahead of them, and I urge them to serve their nations with their utmost capabilities.” He further praised the Academy’s professional training programs, noting their critical role in preparing officers from Pakistan and abroad, and reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to strong naval and diplomatic ties with Pakistan.
The passing-out parade not only showcased the cadets’ discipline, dedication, and professionalism but also underscored the enduring partnership between the Pakistan Navy and international naval forces, strengthening ties and fostering cooperation for years to come.
