Pakistan Hosts Islamic Coalition to Strengthen United Front Against Terrorism

Pakistan is hosting a historic visit of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), marking a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen professional military cooperation and a united front against terrorism among Islamic countries. The visit, led by the Secretary-General of Saudi Arabia, underscores Pakistan’s pivotal role in fostering regional security and counter-terrorism collaboration.

The delegation represents 43 Islamic countries and will remain in Pakistan from 2nd to 8th February to review and enhance existing cooperation frameworks, with a focus on joint anti-terrorism measures, operational coordination, and intelligence sharing. The visit demonstrates the commitment of Islamic nations to a collective and professional approach in combating terrorism at a regional and global level.

As part of the historic visit, a 17-member IMCTC delegation will inaugurate a specialized anti-terrorism training program in Pakistan. The program is designed to implement advanced counter-terrorism strategies, operational best practices, and capacity-building initiatives, enabling participating countries to respond effectively to evolving threats.

Officials emphasized that the visit strengthens Pakistan’s ties with the Islamic world and symbolizes the resolve of Islamic nations to stand united against terrorism. It also highlights Pakistan’s leadership role in promoting military professionalism, strategic coordination, and knowledge-sharing among member states of the coalition.
