Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that India has carried out provocative actions against Pakistan’s sovereignty, and under international law, Pakistan has every right to respond to Indian aggression.
In an interview with Turkish media, Bilawal Bhutto stated that the conflict is not a bilateral issue but an international one, and the global community must intervene to help resolve tensions between two nuclear powers.
He stressed that India must be held accountable for its actions so that it may be deterred from future hostilities. “Through impartial investigations, we seek to establish a mechanism to prevent such terrorist attacks in the future,” he added.
In a separate interview with Arab media, the PPP Chairman reiterated that Pakistan is entitled to respond under international law. He said India is making provocative moves against Pakistan’s sovereignty and fabricating lies about terrorist camps to cover up the massacre of Pakistani civilians.
“If India claims there are terrorist camps in Pakistan, then why has it rejected Pakistan’s call for an international investigation?” Bilawal questioned. He added that India had targeted civilian populations, infrastructure, and even dams.
It is pertinent to mention that in the early hours of Tuesday and Wednesday, Indian forces launched a cowardly attack targeting civilian areas in Azad Kashmir, including Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Bagh, as well as Muridke and Ahmedpur Sharqia. The attacks led to the martyrdom of 31 Pakistanis—including two children—and injuries to 51 others, while two mosques were also destroyed.
Following India’s unprovoked aggression under the cover of darkness, Pakistan responded forcefully, downing three Rafale fighter jets, one MiG-29, one Su-30 aircraft, and a combat drone that had violated its airspace.
