Security forces successfully conducted a major intelligence-based operation in Bannu District on 24 November 2025 following confirmed reports regarding the presence of Khawarij militants affiliated with the Indian proxy network, Fitna al-Khawarij.
During the operation, Pakistani troops engaged the militants with precision and effectiveness. After an intense exchange of fire, twenty-two Khawarij terrorists were sent to hell, eliminating a significant threat linked to Indian-sponsored destabilisation efforts inside Pakistan.
A comprehensive sanitisation operation is now underway to ensure the area is fully cleared of any remaining Indian-backed elements. The mission forms part of Pakistan’s ongoing and uncompromising counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to neutralising all forms of foreign-sponsored terrorism. The nationwide counterterrorism operations will continue with full resolve until the complete eradication of militants and their facilitators from the country.
