Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that he performs his duties in accordance with the command and decree of Allah, adding that in the war against India, Allah granted victory and honour to Pakistan.
Speaking to Jang at the Presidency during the ceremony in which Jordan’s King Abdullah II was conferred the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Allah elevated Pakistan in the war against India.
He stated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but those who impose war will be responded to in the same manner as they were in May. When a Muslim places his trust in Allah, he said, Allah can turn even the dust he throws at the enemy into a missile. “I carry out my duties under the command and decree of Allah.”
The Army Chief added that it is by Allah’s special grace that Pakistan has humbled its enemy. “This army is Allah’s army, and our soldiers fight in the name of Allah,” he said.
