Pakistan Army Shoots Down Three Indian-Israeli Drones Near Okara as Cross-Border Intrusions Continue

The Pakistan Army intercepted and shot down three advanced Indian drones of Israeli origin near Okara Cantonment on Friday, marking the second consecutive day of cross-border intrusions by India using Israeli Herop UAVs.

According to media reports, the Indian-origin drones were brought down in fields near residential areas on the outskirts of Okara Cantonment. No casualties were reported as the Pakistan Army responded swiftly and decisively to the provocation, neutralizing the threat before any damage could occur.

The incident follows a large-scale infiltration attempt on Thursday when the Indian military launched dozens of Israeli-made Herop drones into Pakistani airspace. In a robust response, the Pakistan Army employed both swift-action and hard-kill technologies, successfully downing 29 drones.

Reports cited by Dawn News stated that the drones were shot down across various regions, including two in Karachi’s Malir—specifically in Sharafi Goth and Gulshan-e-Hadid. A drone crash in Sarfaraz Laghari village of Ghotki district, Sindh, resulted in the death of a farmer named Mukhtiar and injured his father, Edhan.

Other drones were intercepted over Lahore (3), Rawalpindi (3), Gujranwala (2), and in villages near Sheikhupura (Bahuman), Chakwal (in the jurisdiction of Dhouman police station), and the Cholistan area near Bahawalpur. In Attock, a civilian named Mehboob was killed after drone debris fell during the interception. In Narowal, local residents captured a surveillance drone which was then secured by security forces.

Israeli-manufactured UAVs were also downed near other sensitive border areas, reflecting an escalating pattern of technologically advanced drone incursions originating from Indian territory.

Military officials have condemned the recurring violations of Pakistani airspace, calling them acts of aggression that endanger civilian lives and regional stability. Authorities have reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty against all forms of external threats.
