Pakistan Army downed another Indian surveillance drone in the Shakargarh sector, thwarting yet another violation of Pakistan’s airspace, security sources confirmed.
According to security officials, the drone was shot down by the Pakistan Rangers when it attempted to intrude into Pakistani territory from across the Indian border. “The Indian drone was engaged and successfully brought down by vigilant troops stationed in the sector,” the sources stated.
Security sources further affirmed that the Pakistan Army continues to give a “befitting response” to every act of aggression by the enemy, demonstrating operational readiness and resolve to safeguard national sovereignty.
The development comes in the wake of a series of escalatory moves by India. On Monday night, following Indian missile strikes, Pakistan retaliated by destroying five Indian aircraft—including Rafale jets—and another drone, in what is being viewed as a significant military response.
Officials have reiterated that Pakistan remains fully alert and will respond decisively to any act of hostility.
