Pakistan and China are conducting a joint counter-terrorism exercise, “Warrior-IX,” which began on November 28 and will continue until December 14. The two-week drill aims to enhance interoperability between the armed forces of both countries and further strengthen military cooperation.
The exercise was attended by China’s Ambassador Jiang Zaidong as the chief guest, accompanied by senior Chinese military officials. Pakistan’s Chief of General Staff also attended the event as a guest of honor.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), participants were briefed on the objectives, scope, and various phases of the exercise. They later observed a series of counter-terrorism drills conducted by troops from both nations.
The ISPR highlighted the professionalism, operational expertise, and determination of the troops during the drills. “This joint exercise reflects the strong defence cooperation between Pakistan and China and renews the commitment of both countries’ armed forces to peace and stability in the region,” the ISPR said.
