The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully conducted the flight test of the indigenously developed Taimoor Weapon System, marking another major milestone in the advancement of Pakistan’s national aerospace and defence capabilities.

According to official details, the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) is capable of engaging enemy land and sea targets with high precision at a range of up to 600 kilometers, while carrying a conventional warhead. The missile is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation and guidance system and is designed to fly at very low altitudes, enabling it to effectively evade hostile air and missile defence systems.

The precision-strike capability of the Taimoor weapon system significantly enhances the conventional deterrence and operational flexibility of the Pakistan Air Force, further strengthening the country’s overall defence posture.

The successful flight test highlights the technical maturity, innovation, and growing self-reliance of Pakistan’s defence industry. The launch was witnessed by senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, along with prominent scientists and engineers who played a key role in the development of the advanced weapon system.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff, congratulated the scientists, engineers, and the entire PAF team on the achievement. He praised their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s defence capabilities.

The Air Chief emphasized that such achievements reflect Pakistan’s resolve to achieve technological self-sufficiency and maintain a credible conventional deterrent amid an evolving regional security environment. He reaffirmed that the successful test of the Taimoor weapon system demonstrates the Pakistan Air Force’s continued focus on operational readiness, technological superiority, and the safeguarding of national security objectives.
