Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), conducted an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he held high-level meetings with senior Saudi military leadership, including HRH Lieutenant General Turki bin Bander bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force, and General Fayiadh bin Hameed Al-Rowaily, Chief of the General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu was warmly received and accorded a Guard of Honour by a contingent of the Royal Saudi Air Force, highlighting the longstanding ties and mutual respect between the two nations.
During the meetings, both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions on bilateral defence cooperation, the regional security environment, and future avenues for collaboration. The officials expressed satisfaction with the current level of engagement and agreed to further enhance defence relations through joint training exercises, operational collaboration, and professional knowledge exchange, underscoring the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Defence Agreement as a cornerstone of mutual trust and enduring fraternal relations.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to strengthening military-to-military cooperation through bilateral and multilateral exercises. He also highlighted the transformation of PAF into a robust Multi Domain Force, integrating cutting-edge capabilities in space, cyber, electronic warfare, and artificial intelligence, demonstrated through its operational readiness and performance.
The Saudi defence leadership commended the professionalism, operational excellence, and combat readiness of the Pakistan Air Force. They expressed keen interest in expanding joint training programs and operational collaboration, particularly in the domain of Multi Domain Operations, and acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
This high-level visit underscores the depth and resilience of the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to enhance cooperation in defence, aviation, and security sectors while maintaining peace and stability in the region.
