Our Threshold Is Crossed, Pakistan Takes Decisive Action, Says Defence Minister

In a strong statement, Khawaja Asif, Minister of Defence of Pakistan, confirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces are actively responding to recent acts of aggression by the Afghan Taliban along Pakistan’s borders.

Addressing the nation through social media, Minister Asif emphasized: “Pakistan’s armed forces have not come from across the seas. We are your neighbors, we know your limits. Our patience has been exhausted, and now this is open war. Dama Dam Mast Qalandar will be our call.”

He underscored that the operations are being carried out by Pakistan’s brave soldiers, fully aware of the terrain and the nature of the threat posed by Afghan-based proxies aligned with foreign agendas. “These are not forces acting at the behest of any external power. They are our own, defending the sovereignty and security of Pakistan,” he stated.

Minister Asif highlighted the international expectations following NATO’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, when the world anticipated peace and governance that would prioritize the welfare of the Afghan people. “Instead,” he noted, “the Taliban have become a proxy for India, harboring terrorists from around the world and exporting instability beyond their borders. They have also denied basic rights to their own population.”

He further stated that Pakistan has consistently sought to maintain peace through diplomacy and constructive engagement. “Despite our efforts to stabilize the region, when Pakistan was directly targeted, the armed forces responded decisively and effectively,” Minister Asif affirmed.

The Defence Minister reiterated that Pakistan will continue to act firmly to defend its sovereignty and ensure the security of its people, while maintaining professionalism and adherence to operational precision.
