The Pakistan Army has intensified its ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil Haq in Shawal, South Waziristan, conducting a series of precise and effective strikes against Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij elements, according to security sources.
The operation is part of Pakistan’s sustained effort to neutralize terrorist networks operating along the border and to prevent militants from using these areas as safe havens for planning and launching attacks against Pakistan.
During the latest phase of the operation, the Pakistan Army conducted a timely strike on a key Afghan Taliban post near Shawal, strategically located in the border region. Explosives were used to completely destroy the militant installation, forcing Afghan Taliban and Khawarij fighters to retreat from the area. Security sources reported that the strike significantly disrupted militant operations and removed a critical threat to local and national security.
The Pakistan Army continues to conduct targeted operations against terrorist hideouts and military installations, maintaining pressure on insurgent groups and denying them any opportunity to regroup. These operations demonstrate Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its territory and protecting civilians from cross-border terrorism.
Security officials emphasized that the operation is ongoing and will continue until all threats posed by Afghan Taliban and Khawarij elements in the Shawal region are neutralized. Local communities have been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, as the Pakistan Army pursues a proactive and coordinated approach to ensure lasting peace and stability in South Waziristan.
