One person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a hand grenade attack carried out by unidentified assailants late Thursday night in the Aab Gum village of Bolan district, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kachhi, Rana Muhammad Dilawar.
The SSP said the attackers hurled a hand grenade at four individuals who were sitting outside a house. Taking advantage of the darkness, the perpetrators managed to flee the scene. Rescue teams rushed to the site, and the deceased and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Mach for medical treatment.
The deceased was identified as Ahmed, while the injured were named as Zohaib, Wadood, and Hakeem Mir Hazar. All victims reportedly belong to the Raheja tribe. SSP Rana Muhammad Dilawar added that a heavy police contingent cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace and apprehend those responsible.
The incident has raised concerns over the security situation in the region, and authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack.
