One Khawarij Killed, Two Injured in Exchange of Fire with Police in Hangu

A security operation in the Central Orakzai area under Mishti Police Station resulted in the death of one Khawarij and injuries to two others during a firefight with police forces. The encounter unfolded when police personnel engaged with armed Khawarij attempting hostile activities in the region.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Daswar Ali, the deceased Khawarij’s body was transferred to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for further procedures and investigation. Police confirmed that the injured suspects are receiving medical attention and are under close monitoring.

Following the exchange of fire, a substantial deployment of police personnel reached the scene to reinforce the operation. Authorities have launched a continued search and clearance operation to apprehend any remaining Khawarij in the vicinity, ensuring the safety and security of local communities.

Officials emphasized that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and to prevent hostile Khawarij activities in sensitive areas.
