Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Timergara, District Lower Dir, on the night of April 10-11, targeting the reported presence of terrorists.
During the operation, troops effectively surrounded and engaged the terrorist hideout. Following an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed, including a high-value target identified as Hafeezullah alias Kochwan.
Hafeezullah alias Kachwan was involved in numerous terrorist activities against both security forces and civilians. He was on the most-wanted list of law enforcement agencies, with a bounty of PKR 10 million placed on his head by the government.
A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area. The security forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism and ensure lasting peace across the country.
