North Waziristan AC Shah Wali along with Two Policemen Martyred in Taliban Ambush on Miranshah Road, Bannu

The Assistant Commissioner of North Waziristan, Shah Wali, was killed in a Taliban ambush on his vehicle on Miranshah Road in Bannu district, officials confirmed. The attack also claimed the lives of two police officers, while two other policemen and the driver sustained injuries.

Initial reports had suggested that the Assistant Commissioner had survived the assault, but updated information tragically confirmed his death. Sources said the attackers seized weapons from the security personnel during the incident, further escalating concerns over militant activity in the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attack targeted the government convoy, prompting police and security forces to rush to the scene immediately. The area has been cordoned off, and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

Authorities have strongly condemned the ambush, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by Taliban factions in the region. Security measures in Bannu and other sensitive districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being intensified to prevent similar attacks and ensure the safety of government officials and law enforcement personnel.
