In a significant security development, Pakistan’s forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Zhob sector’s Gudwana Enclave, preventing what officials described as a planned assault under the cover of darkness.

According to security sources, terrorists affiliated with the Afghan Taliban (TTA) attempted to breach the area late at night, exploiting difficult terrain and low visibility. However, alert Pakistani troops detected the movement in time and launched a swift and effective response.

The ensuing engagement saw intense exchanges, with security forces not only repelling the attack but also inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists. Multiple enemy posts used to facilitate the infiltration were destroyed in the retaliatory action, significantly disrupting their operational capacity in the area.

Officials noted that such attempts reflect a continuing pattern of cross-border aggression, which is being met with heightened vigilance and robust countermeasures by Pakistan’s forces. The security situation in border regions remains dynamic, with forces maintaining a high state of readiness to counter any threats.

The operation is part of a broader security framework aimed at eliminating terrorist threats and securing Pakistan’s frontiers. Local sources indicated that surveillance and intelligence-based operations have been intensified in recent weeks, particularly in sensitive sectors like Zhob.

Security officials reiterated that Operation Ghazab Lil Haqq will continue until its objectives are fully achieved, emphasizing that Pakistan remains committed to safeguarding its sovereignty and ensuring lasting stability in the region.

Meanwhile, in a parallel diplomatic development, the Afghan Taliban today reached out to Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, who emphasized that Kabul seeks to resolve its issues with Pakistan through dialogue and mutual understanding, describing peaceful engagement as the preferred path forward. According to a statement issued by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these remarks were made during a telephone conversation with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
