New York Times Unmasks Modi Regime’s Brutal Crackdown on Muslims in Occupied Kashmir Following False Pahalgam Flag Incident

The New York Times has exposed the Indian government’s escalating campaign of repression against Muslims in Indian-occupied Kashmir under the pretext of the recent Pahalgam flag incident.

According to the American publication, the incident has been used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration and extremist Hindu factions as a pretext to intensify crackdowns on the region’s Muslim population. In the wake of the incident, thousands of Muslims have been detained, and many of their homes have been demolished in what rights groups describe as collective punishment.

Meenakshi Ganguly, Deputy Director for Asia at Human Rights Watch, warned against using the Pahalgam attack as justification for retaliatory actions against minority groups. “Such measures risk deepening the human rights crisis and may provoke a strong international response to the violations being committed against Muslims,” she stated.

The international media and human rights organizations have repeatedly testified to the atrocities being committed against Muslims in occupied Kashmir, underscoring the Modi government’s aggressive and oppressive policies in the region.
