Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has underscored the vital importance of maintaining high combat readiness to counter the full spectrum of conventional and non-conventional maritime threats facing Pakistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Navy Command and Staff Conference concluded today at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad. The conference serves as the Navy’s principal decision-making forum, bringing together the Naval Chief, Principal Staff Officers, and Field Commanders to review strategic priorities and operational imperatives.
During the conference, participants conducted a comprehensive assessment of the Pakistan Navy’s operational preparedness, ongoing projects, and future initiatives. Preparations for the upcoming Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC) also came under detailed discussion.
Admiral Ashraf highlighted that Pakistan’s maritime domain faces complex and evolving challenges, emphasizing that the Navy must remain fully alert, agile, and technologically prepared to meet them head-on.“The Pakistan Navy remains resolute in its mission to defend every inch of the country’s maritime frontiers and safeguard national sovereignty,” said Admiral Naveed Ashraf. “Our focus on operational readiness and modernization ensures that we can effectively respond to all maritime contingencies.”
The Naval Chief reaffirmed that the Pakistan Navy stands ready to protect national maritime interests and to ensure secure and open seas in the region, in line with the country’s commitment to regional stability and peace.
ISPR added that the Command and Staff Conference is an essential platform for evaluating operational strategies, setting future directions, and strengthening the Navy’s role as the guardian of Pakistan’s maritime sovereignty.
