Authorities investigating the November 24 suicide bombings at the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar have confirmed that all three attackers were Afghan nationals, according to sources familiar with the probe. The verification was conducted by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Investigators, however, said additional details about the assailants are still pending. More than 100 suspects have been questioned so far in connection with the attacks, as authorities continue to trace the networks and facilitators behind the incident.
Security officials have also recovered footage showing the attackers’ movements from Rahman Baba Cemetery to the FC Headquarters, providing critical leads in the ongoing investigation. Teams are now focusing on identifying possible accomplices and support networks.
Preliminary findings indicate that none of the suicide bombers used mobile phones on the day of the attack, complicating efforts to track communications and connections prior to the assault.
Investigators stressed that all evidence, including surveillance footage and witness accounts, is being carefully analysed to dismantle any remaining networks linked to the attackers.
