The Iranian military has issued a chilling warning to the United States following a series of American airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. In a bold statement, the spokesperson for Iran’s Central Command directly addressed former U.S. President Donald Trump, declaring: “Mr. Trump, you may start this war, but we will end it.”

The spokesperson hinted at upcoming “powerful operations” with severe consequences for the U.S. and its allies. He added that Washington’s involvement has expanded the scope of Iran’s legitimate military targets, signaling the possibility of direct retaliation across the region.

Tensions have soared across the Middle East since the U.S. airstrikes, which Tehran views as a blatant act of aggression aimed at destabilizing its sovereignty and provoking war.

Pakistan Condemns U.S. Strikes, Vows Support for Iran’s Right to Defend Itself

Pakistan swiftly condemned the U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear sites, calling the attacks “unjustified” and a major threat to regional peace. Islamabad warned that the strikes would only escalate tensions and called on the UN Security Council to take immediate steps to restore calm.

“We fully support Iran’s right to defend itself,” a Pakistani foreign ministry statement read. “This is not just a matter of regional stability but of international legality and sovereignty.”

Emergency UN Security Council Session Demands Ceasefire, Urges Diplomatic Resolution

In response to the crisis, the UN Security Council convened an emergency session where China, Russia, and Pakistan jointly submitted a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, protection of civilians, and a return to diplomatic negotiations.

Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar, strongly condemned the attacks and urged all parties to avoid dragging the region into a broader war.
“We call for an unconditional ceasefire and urge the international community to prioritise diplomacy over destruction,” he said, emphasising that the Iran issue must be resolved under the UN Charter and through peaceful means.

No Justification for Bombing Iran: Putin Vows Support for Iranian People

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Moscow for urgent talks following the strikes. Russian President Vladimir Putin, after meeting with him, denounced the U.S. bombing campaign as baseless.

“There is no justification for such aggression. The world must not accept unilateral militarism,” said Putin. He reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to supporting the Iranian people and maintaining strategic ties with Tehran.

Iran Hits Back: Ballistic Missiles and Drones Pound Israeli Targets

In a forceful retaliation, Iran launched a wave of ballistic missile and drone strikes on Israeli territory. Iranian media reported that missiles including Kheibar Shikan, Emad, Qadr, and Fattah-1 were used in the operation, which targeted multiple cities including Tel Aviv and Haifa.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that it had changed its military doctrine to a more “offensive strategic posture,” with high-precision strikes against “legitimate enemy positions.”

Israeli media confirmed that at least 15 missiles were launched from Iranian territory in the most direct attack yet amid the escalating conflict.

UN Chief and IAEA Warn of Catastrophe, Urge Return to Negotiations

UN Secretary-General António Guterres issued a grave warning, urging an immediate halt to hostilities: “The people of the region cannot endure more devastation. This war must be stopped.”

Guterres called for serious negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program and expressed the UN’s readiness to support any diplomatic effort.

Meanwhile, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi revealed that the strikes caused visible damage near the Fordow nuclear facility, describing “crater-sized impacts” from the attack. He urged Iran to re-engage in talks before the situation escalates further, warning: “If peace is not given a chance, destruction will take its place.”
