Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a stern warning to India, declaring that after Pakistan’s forceful military response to recent aggression, “Modi’s government will think a hundred times before attacking Pakistan again.”

Speaking at a ceremony in Muzaffarabad where compensation cheques were distributed among the families of those martyred and injured in Indian attacks, the Prime Minister strongly condemned New Delhi’s reckless behaviour, saying it had pushed the region to the brink of a wider conflict.

“A war broke out just days ago that could have spiralled into something catastrophic,” PM Shehbaz said. “India used the Pahalgam incident to hurl baseless allegations at Pakistan, but we exposed the truth and called for an international investigation, a call India refused because it couldn’t face the facts.”

He revealed that in response to India’s strikes on civilian areas in Azad Kashmir and other parts of Pakistan, the Pakistan Armed Forces took swift and precise action, shooting down six Indian aircraft, including Rafale and MiG-29 fighter jets, using advanced Al-Fatah missiles.

“We didn’t retaliate by targeting civilians like India. We took down military jets — and made sure our message was loud and clear,” said the Prime Minister. “India believed the global powers would shield it, but they didn’t. And now, they’re left to reconsider their next move.”

PM Shehbaz recounted a pivotal moment during the escalation, when the Chief of Army Staff personally informed him that India was ready to request a ceasefire. “It was then that I knew — our Armed Forces had compelled them to back down.”

“Today, We Settled the Score of 1971”

The Prime Minister praised Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force for their unified and decisive response, saying:

“Our three forces stood shoulder-to-shoulder and delivered a historic response. On that day, we avenged 1971 with pride and precision.”

During the ceremony, families of the martyrs were given financial compensation of Rs. 10 million, while those injured received between Rs. 1 to 2 million. PM Shehbaz assured that any affected persons yet to receive support would also be compensated shortly.

The Prime Minister’s remarks reflect a growing national confidence in Pakistan’s military capabilities and send a clear message that any future provocation will be met with full force and strategic clarity.
