Security forces repelled a small arms attack on the 203 Wing’s Mir Kalay post in Khyber, yesterday, according to official sources.
The assailants, declared as Khawarij, opened fire on the post. No casualties were reported among security personnel. Troops responded with small arms and mortar fire.
During the exchange, Asadullah, son of Taj Badin Khan of the Malik Din Khel tribe, was killed. He was identified as an active militant associated with the Lashkar-e-Islam commander Muhammad Din group.
Sources said the body remains in Mir Kalay village. Further details are awaited as authorities continue to assess the situation.
