In a major counterterrorism breakthrough, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Khano Baba area of Pishin district, resulting in the killing of nine suspected militants.
According to a spokesperson for the CTD, the operation was launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence of wanted militants in the area. Upon interception, the suspects opened fire, prompting a swift retaliatory response by CTD personnel. All nine suspects were neutralized in the ensuing exchange.
The spokesperson confirmed that a substantial cache of arms and explosives was recovered from the site. Preliminary investigations suggest that the slain individuals were linked to multiple terrorism cases and were listed as most-wanted by law enforcement agencies.
The operation marks a significant success in the ongoing efforts to eliminate militant networks operating in Balochistan.
