Reliable security sources have confirmed that a major operational base associated with the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group (HGB), operating under the banner of Aswaad ul Khorasan, was destroyed during a precision airstrike conducted by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the Gurbaz area of Khost province, Afghanistan.
According to informed sources, the airstrike targeted Gulono Camp, a facility believed to have served as a central operational and training hub for the militant network. The camp was reportedly being managed by Said Anar alias Talwar Maddakhel, identified as the head of operations and Tashkeels of HGB. He is said to belong to the North Waziristan district of Pakistan.
Security officials indicate that the strike resulted in the destruction of the militant infrastructure at the site. However, the exact number of casualties has not yet been independently confirmed.
Local sources report that immediately after the strike, militants belonging to the Haji Gul Bahadur Group, along with members affiliated with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA), swiftly cordoned off the surrounding area. The Haji Gul Bahadur Group, operating under the banner of Aswaad ul Khorasan, has previously been linked to militant activities targeting civilians. The group had earlier claimed responsibility for a suicide attack that resulted in the martyrdom of two civilians and injuries to 16 others. Among the injured were women and children who were shifted to hospitals for urgent medical treatment.
