Major Blow to Fitna al-Hindustan: Top Six BLA Commanders Eliminated in Zehri Operation

In a major counter-terrorism success, security forces eliminated top six commanders of the Indian-backed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), also known as Fitna al-Hindustan, during a high-stakes operation in Zehri, Khuzdar district. This marks the BLA’s most significant loss in the area to date.

Zehri has remained a hotspot of insurgent activity since summer, used by the BLA as a semi-safe corridor for cross-border operations, aided and sponsored by foreign handlers. The group had recently launched a series of deadly attacks in the region, including bombings and assaults on security posts in August and September.

But on September 25, the tide turned.

According to informed sources, a two-phase intelligence-based clearance operation was launched targeting the BLA’s core infrastructure. Surveillance drones had been monitoring the group’s communications for days, mapping out satellite phone usage and radio repeater locations across the mountainous terrain.

When the operation began, airborne jammers cut off all BLA communications, crippling their command-and-control capabilities. Within minutes, ground forces stormed key hideouts, clearing the first compound in under five minutes and delivering a decisive blow to the insurgent network.

In total, 14 militants were killed, several hideouts were destroyed, and the group’s presence in Zehri was effectively dismantled.

This operation demonstrated a rare blend of guerrilla warfare response and advanced military technology—showcasing the capability and resolve of Pakistan’s forces to uproot foreign-sponsored militancy from Balochistan.

Local tribes and civilians have pledged full support to the armed forces in their mission to restore lasting peace and stability to the region.
