Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Lower Kurram area on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij elements and their hideouts.
During the operation, drone-based surveillance and intelligence capabilities were employed to monitor the area, identify suspected positions and facilitate a precise and coordinated response. Following confirmation of the presence of Khawarij, their hideouts were effectively targeted by the security forces. As a result of the operation, two Khawarij were killed, while four others sustained injuries.
Following the engagement, security forces immediately commenced a comprehensive sanitization operation in the surrounding area. The ongoing sanitization operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing any remaining Khawarij presence, clearing suspected hideouts and associated infrastructure, and ensuring that the area is fully secured.
Security forces are maintaining heightened vigilance throughout the area and are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the local population. The sanitization operation will continue until the area has been thoroughly cleared and the security threat has been fully addressed.
