A significant consultative jirga was convened in Nasr Khel, Lakki Marwat, bringing together senior police officials and respected tribal elders to deliberate on the prevailing security situation and to forge a coordinated strategy aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the area.
The high-level meeting was led by SP Investigation Murad Khan Wazir and SDPO Saeed Khan, who engaged in detailed discussions with tribal elders, community representatives, and local stakeholders. The jirga concluded with a unanimous commitment to reinforce cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the Nasr Khel community to counter terrorism, criminal activities, and elements seeking to disrupt public order.
Participants emphasized that maintaining the writ of the state remains non-negotiable and affirmed that no space would be allowed for anti-state or anti-peace elements within Nasr Khel or its surrounding areas. Tribal elders and police leadership jointly declared that individuals involved in destabilizing activities would not be granted shelter or support under any circumstances.
During the deliberations, members of the Nasr Khel community expressed their unwavering solidarity with the police, pledging to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement authorities in conducting impartial and decisive operations against terrorists and criminals. The jirga underscored that Nasr Khel’s soil would not serve as a refuge for those seeking to undermine peace, and participants reiterated their collective resolve to transform the area into a model of security and stability.
The consultative session concluded with a firm warning to those conspiring against peace and social harmony. Community leaders and police officials conveyed a clear message that any attempts to disturb law and order would be met with strict and uncompromising action in accordance with the law.
The jirga reflects a broader commitment to community-police partnership, recognizing that sustainable peace requires unity, vigilance, and coordinated action. By fostering mutual trust and cooperation, the people of Nasr Khel and the district police aim to ensure long-term stability, safeguard citizens, and uphold the authority of the state.
