Security forces, on 15 December 2025, conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District, following reports about the presence of khawarij belonging to the Indian proxy known as Fitna al-Khawarij.

During the operation, troops effectively engaged the khawarij hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, seven khawarij were killed. However, during the firefight, a brave son of the soil, Naik Yasir Khan, aged 34 years and a resident of District Mardan, fought gallantly and embraced shahadat.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed khawarij, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area.

A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored khawarij in the vicinity. Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to pursuing the counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
