Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 1,588 terrorism incidents across fourteen districts during the current year, according to new data released by the provincial Counter Terrorism Department. The report shows that more than seven thousand suspects have been nominated in related cases.
The figures reveal that Bannu remained the most affected district with 394 registered terrorism cases. North Waziristan reported 181 cases, Peshawar recorded 163 and Dera Ismail Khan registered 152.
The CTD report adds that Bannu also tops the list of nominated suspects, with 3,437 individuals named in terrorism cases. North Waziristan recorded 887 nominated suspects and Dera Ismail Khan reported 865.
