PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed has taken serious notice of the deadly attack on Malik Asad, the former district nazim and elder brother of Senior Civil Judge Hayat Khan, lawyer Khalid Khan, and martyred DIG Malik Saad Shaheed.
The attack occurred on the motorway, where unidentified gunmen opened fire on Malik Asad, resulting in his death and injuries to his driver. In response, the IGP has demanded detailed reports from the Regional Police Officers of Mardan and Kohat, and has issued strict orders for the immediate arrest of the culprits.
IGP Hameed directed officials to gather all evidence from the scene and carry out a comprehensive investigation, ensuring that all leads are pursued and those responsible are brought to justice without delay.
