Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has emphasized that combating terrorism is a collective responsibility and that lasting peace is vital for the province’s development. He called on all schools of thought to unite against extremism to ensure progress and prosperity in the region.

The Governor made these remarks while addressing the National Stability Pakistan Conference on Wednesday, organised by Majlis Ulema Pakistan at a local hotel. The event also paid tribute to the Pakistan Army and security forces for their success in Maraka-e-Haq, the Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos.

The conference was attended by prominent religious scholars, political leaders, and youth, including Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Khateeb of Badshahi Masjid Lahore, and Provincial Minister Adnan Qadri.

Governor Kundi lauded the efforts of Majlis Ulema Pakistan for promoting national unity and honouring the sacrifices of martyrs, describing them as a source of national pride. He also condemned India’s false allegations regarding the Pahalgam incident, noting that Pakistan, under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, delivered a decisive response.

Highlighting Maraka-e-Haq, the Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos as a historic military achievement, the Governor said it had laid a solid foundation for peace and stability in the country. He urged religious scholars to play an active role in promoting tolerance, unity, and patriotism to help overcome the nation’s social and economic challenges.
