A Khwarij was killed and a police constable injured in an exchange of fire after militants attacked the vehicle of SHO Alamgir Mehsud near Lower Kalosha Algad in South Waziristan on Sunday.
According to police sources, the assailants targeted the vehicle of the Station House Officer (SHO) of Azam Warsak Police Station, prompting a heavy exchange of fire between police and militants. During the gunfight, one militant was shot dead while police constable Raza Muhammad sustained injuries.
The injured policeman was shifted to hospital for medical treatment, while security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the remaining attacker
