Khawarij Target Civilians in Khyber, One Martyred, Seven Injured Including Two Women

Khawarij, Security Forces, Tirah Valley, Fitna al-khawarij, violence in Pakistan’s tribal

In yet another horrifying attack on innocent civilians, khawarij opened fire in the jurisdiction of Tirah police station, Khyber district, resulting in the martyrdom of one civilian and injuries to seven others, including two women.

The incident occurred near Haji Gul Mosque and Pir Mela, where security forces were engaged in a clash with khawarij. During the confrontation, one security personnel was martyred and another wounded.

Amid the chaos, khawarij deliberately targeted unarmed locals. Victim Khan Saeed lost his life in the attack, while Khan Wali, Pashan Khan, Jameel, Dost Muhammad, Adnan, and two women—wife of Muhammad Jan and wife of Naseeb Gul—were among those injured.

All injured civilians were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The incident has reignited concerns about the resurgence of violence in Pakistan’s tribal belt and the ongoing threat to civilian lives despite active security operations.

The area remains tense as security forces continue their search operations.
