Khawarij Resort to Desperate Tactics as Pressure Mounts

The Khawarij are facing unprecedented pressure in recent months after suffering successive setbacks, heavy casualties, and worsening internal rifts that have left their leadership in a state of confusion and distrust.

Reliable information indicates that in the past three months, several major Khawarij formations were eliminated during border-crossing attempts. These losses have not only weakened their operational capacity but also deepened divisions within their ranks, pushing the group’s leadership into a crisis of confidence.

Sources disclosed that Khawarij leader Noor Wali, alarmed by the mounting failures, has issued strict instructions to his foot soldiers to avoid the use of mobile phones and other communication devices, fearing that their networks are being tracked with increasing accuracy. In a sign of desperation, he has further ordered the misuse of mosques, public hujras, and houses occupied by illegal Afghan nationals as hideouts and makeshift facilities for preparing explosive materials.

The recent arrest of Abdul Samad, a key Khawarij operative, has unveiled shocking details confirming that these sanctuaries are being exploited to manufacture improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and to shelter fleeing members. His confessions have reinforced longstanding concerns about the group’s attempts to corrupt communal and religious spaces for violent ends.

Adding to their decline, the Khawarij leadership has turned once again to deceitful propaganda, instructing followers to flood social media with fake, AI-generated, and outdated videos in a bid to mislead the public and create an illusion of relevance. Security observers describe this reliance on fabricated digital narratives as evidence of their strategic collapse on the ground.

Security forces, meanwhile, have underscored their complete readiness and determination to dismantle the Khawarij network and its facilitators, making clear that no sanctuary or support structure will be spared in the ongoing campaign to eradicate the threat.
