Khawarij Kill Two in D.I. Khan’s Yarak Area

Two men were killed on Tuesday in a firing incident carried out by Khawarij in the Yarak area of Dera Ismail Khan, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Yarak. According to police sources, the attackers opened fire on the victims, identified as Shaukat and Umar Liaz, who died on the spot.

Law enforcement cordoned off the area, collected forensic evidence, and launched a search operation to locate the perpetrators. Preliminary findings suggest the incident may have been an act of targeted killing. No group has claimed responsibility so far, and further investigation is underway.

In a separate development, a police constable was martyred during a brazen Khawarij assault on a police check-post in the Ghandi Tal area of Upper Orakzai. District Police Officer Shaukat Ali confirmed that Constable Tajdar Ali embraced martyrdom while valiantly defending his post. A large police force later reached the site and initiated a search operation to ensure regional security.
