Khawarij Infiltration Attempt Foiled Along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border in Mohmand

An attempted cross-border infiltration by Khawarij elements in Mohmand district was decisively thwarted, with sixteen members of the group neutralised in a swift and precise operation. According to security sources, the Khawarij attempted to enter Pakistan through the Sheikh Baba and Soran Dara areas near the frontier late Thursday night. Their movement was detected through advanced surveillance and intelligence monitoring systems, enabling security forces to launch an immediate response.

In the ensuing action, all sixteen Khawarij involved in the infiltration attempt were eliminated, effectively dismantling the entire cell before it could execute its designs. The operation has been described as a clear demonstration of the vigilance and readiness of Pakistan’s security forces, who continue to safeguard the nation’s frontiers against external threats.

The incident once again underscores the persistent challenge posed by Khawarij groups operating from across the border. Despite repeated attempts to destabilise the region, coordinated action and superior operational preparedness have ensured that such designs are foiled at the earliest stage.

Officials noted that Pakistan remains committed to defending its territory and protecting its citizens from the menace of Khawarij violence, stressing that any future attempts of infiltration will be met with the same level of force and precision.
