In a decisive blow to khawarij, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Lakki Marwat police, and security forces carried out a successful joint operation in multiple areas of Lakki Marwat, destroying several hideouts belonging to the extremist group declared by state as Fitna al-khawarij.
The operation, launched in the areas of Aatshi Machan Khel, Ghati Machan Khel, Sirkata Machan Khel, and nearby Dargai, was based on actionable intelligence indicating the presence of terrorists planning potential attacks.
Security forces swiftly cordoned off the targeted zones and conducted a thorough search operation. Multiple suspected sites were raided, leading to the discovery and seizure of weapons, ammunition, and other militant equipment.

While no arrests or casualties have been officially confirmed yet, authorities reported that the operation inflicted significant losses on the terror network operating in the region.
Security officials stated that the crackdown will continue until peace is fully restored and all traces of terrorism are eliminated from the area.
