A civilian was injured during a violent exchange of fire between Khawarij insurgents and Pakistani security forces in the volatile Shalobar Dongha Killi area of Tirah Maidan. The clash erupted when Khawarij elements opened indiscriminate fire, prompting immediate retaliation by security forces. Fazal Haq, son of Fazal Rahim and a member of the local Shalobar tribe, was wounded while carrying out his daily routine. He was swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility, where doctors confirmed he is out of danger.
This marks yet another incident in a recurring pattern of violence by the Khawarij, whose operations continue to endanger civilians and destabilize the region. Locals, long living under the shadow of militant activity, have renewed calls for decisive and sustained action to dismantle the group’s presence.
Security forces responded with a full-scale cordon and search operation in the area. The pursuit of the attackers remains ongoing.
The incident underscores the enduring threat posed by the Khawarij, who persist in targeting both security personnel and civilians across Pakistan’s tribal belt, undermining efforts to restore lasting peace.
