Khawarij Flee After Failed Assault on D.I Khan Police Station

Khawarij carried out a coordinated and heavily armed attack on Basyakhel Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan late night, but were forced to flee after a swift and resolute response by police personnel. According to a police spokesperson, the assault began at approximately 1:35 a.m., with the attackers targeting the station from multiple directions using snipers and heavy weaponry. The exchange of fire lasted nearly an hour, marking one of the most intense attempts by the Khawarij in recent months.

Despite the scale and ferocity of the attack, police officers held their ground with exceptional discipline and courage. Their immediate and effective retaliation compelled the assailants to retreat without causing any loss of life. District Police Officer Bannu confirmed that no casualties were reported and said that an investigation is underway to trace the attackers and determine the full scope of the incident.

Officials praised the bravery of the police force, stating that such foiled attempts reflect the growing desperation of the Khawarij and reaffirm the state’s determination to eradicate their network and secure lasting peace in the region.
