Two brutal killings in Bannu district have reportedly been carried out by Khawarij militants, resulting in the deaths of a prominent local leader and a young resident, authorities said. The attacks have sent shockwaves through the local community and raised serious concerns about security along the region’s volatile border areas.
The first incident occurred in Domel, where Malik Nabi Allah, a well-known political and social figure from the Lakki Marwat Machan Khel community, was abducted while traveling with three companions. Reports indicate that the militants later released his companions but executed Malik Nabi Allah, leaving his body on the roadside.
In a separate incident near Baka Khel Tochi Bridge, unknown armed assailants, identified as Khawarij extremists, abducted and murdered Shazib Khan, a young resident of the Barkazai community. He was reportedly taken from his village on Sunday night and later found dead.
Law enforcement authorities have launched formal investigations into both incidents. Police officials emphasized that securing the area, gathering evidence, and identifying the perpetrators are immediate priorities. Additional patrols have been deployed, and residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any information that could aid the investigation.
