Khawarij Attack in Khyber’s Bara Area Leaves Three Soldiers Martyred, Three Injured

Khawarij  launched a gun attack on Rifle No. 163 Wing Post in the Bara area of Khyber late Sunday, martyring three soldiers and injuring three others.

According to security officials, the fallen soldiers have been identified as Sepoy Shakeel, Lance Naik Gulfaam, and Sepoy Awal Zaman. The injured personnel include Sepoy Masood Akhtar, Sepoy Adeel, and Sepoy Usman, who were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Following the assault, security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the perpetrators. Authorities confirmed that security in and around the region has been further tightened to prevent additional attacks.

The incident underscores the persistent threat of Khawarij violence in Pakistan’s tribal districts, where security forces remain engaged in continuous operations to eliminate terrorist networks and restore stability.
