In a decisive and symbolic move against extremism, local residents with security forces demolished the houses of five notorious Khawarij in the Naurak Mursi Khel area of North Waziristan by planting and detonating explosives.
According to credible local sources, the targeted individuals were affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were long involved in activities that spread violence and fear across the region. Their compounds had served as operational bases for orchestrating attacks against both civilians and state institutions.
This action, carried out with the clear support of the local community, marks a growing wave of public resistance against the Khawarij and signals a shift in the tribal belt’s stance toward reclaiming peace and stability.
Residents stated that the demolitions were not only punitive but also a declaration that the soil of Waziristan will no longer shelter those who wage war against the state under the guise of religion.
While no official statement has yet been issued, the operation is being viewed as part of a broader strategy to uproot remaining TTP networks and restore the writ of the state in the area.
