Karak Police Storm Terror Hideouts in High-Altitude Operation, Thwart Major Threat

On the directives of District Police Officer Karak, Shehbaz Elahi, the police launched a major and effective search and strike operation against terrorists in the rugged and remote mountainous areas of Bahadurkhel.

According to the details, the police conducted the operation in Tangi Dog, Neki Pal, and surrounding mountain ranges following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists. The operation was carried out under a comprehensive and coordinated strategy. Led by DSP Banda Daud Shah, the operation involved personnel from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Al-Buraq Force, Rapid Response Force, Elite Commandos, Rescue 15 Squad, Bomb Disposal Unit, and police contingents from relevant police stations.

During the operation, the police cordoned off the entire area using advanced light and heavy weaponry, rocket launchers, armoured personnel carriers (APCs), and police mobiles. Aerial surveillance and phased search operations were conducted using drones and ground forces. In addition, the police cleared defensive stone bunkers and other obstacles reportedly set up by hostile elements at elevated positions in anticipation of resistance.

DPO Karak Shehbaz Elahi stated that the purpose of this coordinated action is to ensure peace in the district and thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists. He affirmed that such operations will continue with the same spirit and determination to protect the lives and property of the citizens.
