Under the leadership of District Police Officer (DPO) Karak, the Karak Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a joint search-and-strike operation targeting terrorist hideouts in the mountainous regions of Amanakot and Teri. The operation involved a substantial force from both police and CTD, equipped with modern weaponry.
The action was launched following recent terrorist attacks on Frontier Corps (FC) personnel and verified intelligence reports confirming the presence of terrorist elements in the area. During the operation, three key terrorists implicated in attacks on FC personnel were targeted. Their residences were demolished and set ablaze, and safe terrorist hideouts established in the mountains were destroyed.
DPO Karak emphasized, “Eliminating terrorist elements and ensuring the safety of the public remain our foremost responsibility.” He added that the police and CTD will continue to conduct unbiased operations against all enemies of peace and security.
The DPO further stated, “The pursuit of terrorists will persist in the mountainous and remote areas until their complete eradication. Karak Police are firmly committed to tightening the noose around terrorists and their facilitators to establish lasting peace in the region.”
